‘100%’ – Some West Brom fans discuss whether to sign striker from Championship rivals
West Brom may be top of the Championship table but one area of the squad that fans agree needs strengthening in the January transfer window is Slaven Bilic’s striker options.
Hal Robson-Kanu is a man in form at the minute but there have been concerns about the lack of goals coming from Charlie Austin and Kenneth Zohore since they both made their switches to The Hawthorns in the summer.
Bilic has done a lot of good at West Brom but one thing that has so far eluded him is a striker who can hit the back of the net as regularly as Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriguez did last season.
Fans have started to discuss who they would want to see signed up in January and one supporter created a discussion about Nottingham Forest centre-forward Britt Assombalonga.
The 26-year-old is a proven goalscorer at this level, but his record of scoring six goals in 17 league appearances this term is not the best.
Although he’s not at his best at Boro this term, some fans would still like to see Assombalonga head to The Hawthorns in January and here is a selection of their tweets:
