Worrying injury for key first-team West Brom player in clash v Birmingham

West Brom suffered a potentially big blow in their Championship game against Birmingham on Saturday, when Grady Dianagana limped off in the first half.

After falling behind to a Lukas Jutkiewicz goal in the first three minutes, Diangana popped up with a goal from midfield for the Baggies.

He’s been a hugely influential player this season but he limped off in the 40th minute today with what looked like a hamstring injury.

We’ll get more information after the game but it didn’t look good and even West Ham fans were fearing the worst.

Kyle Edwards came on for Diangana in the 40th minute and at the time of writing this, the score is still 1-1.

That would take West Brom back to the top of the table by a single point but would see yet more points dropped after a disappointing 1-1 draw against Wigan in midweek.

More importantly, it would be 12 points back to Fulham in third, but a long-term injury for Dianagana would be a bigger blow than any result today.
