'Exceptional' - Holloway predicts 'Tough test' for West Brom v Brentford

West Brom welcome another promotion hopeful to the Hawthorns in Brentford on Saturday.

The Bees are in great form under Thomas Frank and the Baggies will know that three points will make the gap to the play-offs even greater.

Even with Brentford’s form though, not many would predict against a home win given West Brom’s ability to grind out a result no matter how they perform.

Ian Holloway has recently predicted a tough test for the Midlands club against Brentford on Saturday but has claimed that the Baggies have proved to be the real deal already this season.

“West Brom face a tough test in Brentford – I like the way they play because I think their movement in attack is fantastic,” he wrote in the Mirror.

“The front three are exceptional, the way they bounce off each other and the way they interchange is fantastic.

“Having said that I do I feel West Brom are the real deal, but the real winner in this is the chasing pack because all those top teams can’t pick up three points.

“I don’t see Leeds and West Brom running away with it. I reckon come January you’ll see that ten-point gap from second downwards slowly shrinking.”

Slaven Bilic’s men will be looking to extend their unbeaten run which has run since their defeat against Leeds. The Baggies have developed a habit of winning games that they haven’t looked like drawing, never mind picking up three points – a real sign of promotion favourites.

Although Holloway’s comments could give confidence, it is vital that the Baggies keep their feet firmly planted on the ground in the second half of the season.
