‘MOTM’ – Some West Brom fans react to 26-year-old display v Brentford
A section of West Brom fans were thrilled with what they saw from defender Semi Ajayi in the 1-1 draw with Brentford at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
Ajayi, 26, has proven himself to be a superb signing since joining the Baggies from Rotherham in the summer for just £1.5million.
He’s played every minute of every Championship match under Slaven Bilic and on Saturday he managed to impress several supporters with his outing.
According to stats by WhoScored, Ajayi won both of the two aerial duels he competed for, made one tackle and completed four clearances – more than any other Albion player.
Brentford are a good team and could have easily walked away from the Black Country with all three points had their not been some stand-out performances by Bilic’s players.
Some West Brom fans on Twitter could not speak highly enough of Ajayi after the match, with a couple even saying that the former Rotherham ace was their man of the match.

However, not everyone was impressed by the Nigeria international.
