Four changes, Ferguson not even on bench: West Brom confirmed starting XI v Barnsley
Slaven Bilic has made four changes to the West Brom starting line-up ahead of their Boxing Day clash against Barnsley at Oakwell.
Ahmed Hegazi has been selected to make his second start of the season while Kieran Gibbs, Filip Krovinovic and Charlie Austin have all returned to the side.
Kyle Edwards and Matt Phillips appear to have been rested but a knock that Kyle Bartley sustained in the draw with Brentford on Saturday appears to have ruled him out of this game.
There is also a possible cause for concern about Nathan Ferguson as the teenager has not even made the bench amid speculation surrounding his future at The Hawthorns.
West Brom confirmed the starting line-up via their official Twitter account ahead of kick-off on Thursday.
Bilic was always going to make changes for West Brom’s trip to Oakwell this week as he has form for rotating his squad in busy periods this season.
It remains quite an attacking team with Austin and Hal Robson-Kanu both up top and the return for Gibbs is also a major boost.
There are also a couple of things to worry about with Bartley seemingly injured and doubts surrounding Ferguson’s future.
But still, this is a team that should win against Barnsley, even though the Tykes’ form has improved lately.
