Some West Brom fans thrilled with forward transfer link: ‘Would be quite the coup’, ‘Real deal’

West Brom fans have been blown away by recent reports that claim the club is interested in signing Dinamo Zagreb forward Milsav Orsic.

Croatian news outlet Sportske Novosti were the first to report Albion’s interest in signing the 27-year-old this month.

It is understood that Orsic has been a target of Slaven Bilic’s for some time and he could be up for grabs in the January transfer window for £8.5million.

Express & Star journalist Joseph Masi has not rubbished West Brom’s link with the Croatia international.

The local reporter has added weight to the claims from Croatia, saying that Orsic is a player who Bilic is a fan of but no bid has been made for him at this stage of the winter window.

Orsic has been in superb form for Dinamo this season, scoring 19 goals and supplying five assists in 26 appearances across all competitions for the Croatian giants.

He even managed to bag four of those goals in the Champions League group stages – three of which being a hat-trick against Atalanta.

Orsic is mainly a left-sided winger but he can also play on the right-wing and as a centre-forward, so he can fill in in areas where the Baggies could do with some extra strength in depth.

And with that – and his impressive goalscoring record this season – it is no surprise to see so many fans thrilled with the news on Twitter.
