Report details when Matheus Pereira could officially become a West Brom player
Matheus Pereira could officially become a West Brom player on February 12, according to the Express & Star.
The newspaper claims that when West Brom signed Pereira on loan from Sporting CP in the summer, it was agreed that the deal would become permanent once the Brazilian attacker has made 30 appearances in the Championship.
Pereira has so far made 25 league appearances for the Baggies and if he plays in the next five then he will become a West Brom player after the trip to Reading on February 12.
That would be a very nice early Valentine’s Day present.
Pereira has been sensational for West Brom since his loan switch to the West Midlands in the summer transfer window.
He has scored five goals and supplied 14 assists in his 25 Championship appearances and has played a major role in helping the Baggies reach the top of the table.
Although Pereira has been fantastic, there have to be some concerns about his latest displays because the Brazilian has not been directly involved in a goal since the 5-1 win against Swansea on December 8.
Hopefully he can get back among the goals and assists soon and Grady Diangana’s return from injury is bound to help.
Pereira and Diangana have been electric in the Baggies attack this season and provided that West Ham do not recall Diangana, we cannot wait to see them back in full flow.
In other West Brom news, Albion are plotting a swoop to sign this 12-goal Championship striker.
