Reliable journalist shares Grady Diangana injury update after West Brom v Stoke

Birmingham Mail journalist Joe Chapman has reported that West Brom Grady Diangana suffered what appeared to be a hamstring injury in the 1-0 loss to Stoke at The Hawthorns on Monday night.

Diangana, 21, made his first start in over a month when he was named in Slaven Bilic’s starting line-up against Stoke but just minutes into his return, the on-loan West Ham attacker was being forced off with an injury.

The England Under-21 international was running off the ball and appeared to stumble around the halfway line before dropping to the turf.

It has now been reported that Diangana is likely to have suffered a hamstring injury.

If Diangana is out for any period of time then that is a massive blow for West Brom because, out of the six Championship games he has missed this season, the Baggies have not won once.

It is no shock that their worst run of form of the season coincided with Diangana’s latest injury setback.

Luckily, Bilic does have the opportunity to dip into the transfer market and try to sign someone who can come in and replace Diangana while he is injured.

Mislav Orsic, anyone?
