Reliable journalist: West Brom have bid accepted for C’Ship mainstay winger
West Brom have had a bid accepted for Hull City winger Kamil Grosicki, according to journalist Joseph Masi.
The Express and Star reporter revealed on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday evening that the Baggies look set to bring the Polish international to the Hawthorns.
“BREAKING: It is my understanding Albion have had a bid accepted for Hull winger Kamil Grosicki,” he wrote.
It comes quickly after Sky Sports had reported that the Baggies were in talks over a potential deal for the winger, who has been a mainstay in East Yorkshire for a number of campaigns now.
Sky Sports also claimed that Celtic and Nottingham Forest have been interested in the ageing winger, but it appears a move to the Midlands is more likely.
Slaven Bilic looks set to add another forward to his side not so long after securing the loan signing of Sheffield United’s Callum Robinson.
With Matheus Pereira and Grady Diangana missing in the near future, both Grosicki and Robinson could be thrown straight into the deep end against Luton should the Polish man’s move be completed.
The 31-year-old has impressed once again this season for the Tigers, averaging an impressive 2.8 shots on goal as well as 1.9 key passes per game – the exact same in each department as last season where he was involved in 21 goals [WhoScored].
Many Baggies fans would have preferred a move for Jarrod Bowen, but with financial fair play rules creeping in on many clubs – this could be a smart move by West Brom.
