‘Fresh impetus’, ‘MOTM’ – West Brom Super Fans name Saint and Sinner from 2-0 win v Luton

This is part of a regular series from our panel of West Brom Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around The Hawthorns.

West Brom bagged their first Championship win of 2020 on Saturday as they beat Luton Town 2-0 at The Hawthorns.

Donervon Daniels’ own goal and a header by Semi Ajayi were enough for Albion to take all three points and return to the top of the league as Leeds suffered a home defeat to Wigan.

Although it was not the most convincing of displays by Slaven Bilic’s side, a return to winning ways was all that was really needed as the Baggies also kept their first home clean sheet of the season.

There were plenty of stand-out displays by West Brom’s players and arguably the pick of the bunch was Callum Robinson, who made his Baggies debut after arriving on loan from Sheffield United last week.

Robinson’s cross forced the own goal by Daniels while he also hit the crossbar and forced the Luton goalkeeper into making a good save in the second half.

We asked our panel of West Brom Super Fans who were their Saints and Sinners for the match against Luton and most of them named Robinson as the Baggies’ best player on the day.

One hailed the new addition for offering “fresh impetus” into the Albion attack while another dubbed him as the man of the match.

As for the sinners, Charlie Austin failed to impress a few fans on our panel.
