Some West Brom fans discuss if they would have Saido Berahino back

It has been almost four years since Saido Berahino left West Brom but the controversial forward is still someone who is regularly discussed among fans.

For most, it is a case of ‘what if’ with the 26-year-old, who shone so bright during the early days of his spell in the Baggies first-team before his eventual exit to join Stoke.

Berahino has had issues both on and off the field and is currently plying his trade in Belgium with Zulte Wagerem, who he has scored eight goals in 22 appearances since joining them in the summer.

Recently, the Burundi international has been seen wearing a West Brom shirt on social media while adding a caption of ‘boing boing’.

Berahino must still have West Brom on his mind. The club has played a massive part in his life and he is bound to always have some affection for it.

However, that affection does not seem to go the other way.

Berahino pretty much forced his way out of West Brom and the club did pretty much all they could for the troubled striker, who was eventually sold to Stoke for £15million.

And when posed with the question about asking if they’d take the striker back, a lot of fans weren’t too keen.

While the majority wouldn’t take Berahino back, there were still some who would.

It would be one of the most controversial signings in West Brom’s history if it did happen and, for now, we would prefer to stick with Hal Robson-Kanu up front.
