‘Promotion is almost a guarantee’, ‘Huge’ – West Brom Super Fans delighted by key trio update

This is part of a regular series from our panel of West Brom Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around The Hawthorns.

West Brom have been told that Callum Robinson, Grady Diangana and Filip Krovinovic will be able to see out the rest of the season at The Hawthorns.

Albion signed Diangana and Krovinovic on loan from West Ham and Benfica respectively in the summer while Robinson joined on a temporary basis from Sheffield United in the January transfer window.

The Black Country club does not have the option to sign any of the trio on permanent deals and their loan contracts were due to expire on June 30.

However with the season now very likely to run past the end of June, if it does restart, West Brom are comforted in the knowledge that Robinson, Diangana and Krovinovic will all be available for Slaven Bilic, according to Express & Star journalist Joseph Masi.

We asked our panel of West Brom Super Fans for their views on the news and they all agree it is a major boost for Bilic.

Here is what they had to say:

West Brom have not relied upon loan signings since their relegation from the Premier League in 2018 but temporary deals have played a major part in squads under Darren Moore and Bilic.

It is fantastic that the Baggies all but have a permanent deal for Matheus Pereira tied up and with how well Diangana, Robinson and Krovinovic have done at The Hawthorns, there will no doubt be talks going on behind the scenes about keeping them permanently.

Diangana might be the toughest to sign permanently but if West Ham were relegated, that could boost Albion’s chances of a deal while Robinson and Krovinovic might be up for grabs.

Let’s hope Luke Dowling and Bilic are able to push on with permanent deals once the loan contracts do expire.

That would make a lot of fans very happy.
