West Brom hit back at fan who wants to cancel his season-ticket over Blackout Tuesday tweet

The official West Brom Twitter account has hit back at a fan who was infuriated by the club’s support for Blackout Tuesday.

Albion shared their support for the movement, which reflects upon George Floyd’s death in the USA, by posting the Blackout Tuesday hashtag as well as an image saying: “Together we are stronger.”

West Brom’s post has been met with a lot of praise from supporters but one fan was less than happy with the club’s stance, telling them to “cancel” his season-ticket in protest.

The people behind West Brom’s Twitter have always been on the ball and did not hesitate to hit back at one of the club’s own supporters.

Albion’s tweet simply said: “You won’t be missed.”

West Brom are one of the clubs that were at the forefront of combatting racism in football in the 1970s when Albion were one of the first top-flight clubs to field three black players regularly in their side.

Laurie Cunningham, Brendon Batson and Cyrille Regis are three names that every single West Brom fans know and their legendary status at the club is clear for all to see in West Bromwich town centre with a statue of the ‘Three Degrees‘.

How dare that fan slam the club for taking a stand against racial injustice, not just in the US today but throughout history in every corner of the globe.

In other West Brom news, Albion are in the hunt to sign this striker who is nicknamed ‘The Tank’.
