‘Doing bits’ – Nigel Quashie and these WBA fans react to training clip, ‘unreal’ talent hailed

Nigel Quashie has led a number of West Brom fans in heaping praise on the Baggies after the club tweeted a video from the training ground.

The clip, shared to Albion’s official account, showed a number of eye-catching goals as Slaven Bilic’s men held a session at The Hawthorns as they step up their preparations for the return of the Championship later this month.

In particular, West Ham loanee Grady Diangana caught the eye, prompting widespread acclaim from fans who are eager to see him back in action following a lengthy absence with a hamstring complaint.

The wide man looked back to his best as he turned his teammates inside-out with a dazzling array of his lightning quick footwork, and proved that he still remembers where the back of the net is too with a top quality finish into the bottom corner.

Poor Gareth Barry’s head might still be spinning given how quickly Diangana changed direction in the build up to his goal.

We should hardly be surprised though.

According to Whoscored, the 22-year-old has the fifth highest average of successful dribbles per game of any player in the Championship this season.

Former Baggie Quashie was clearly enamoured with what he saw from the rest of the squad too, tweeting: “Players are doing bits”.

And after watching this latest behind-the-scenes update, it’s hard not to get excited about the return of the Championship.

The lads are looking razor sharp, The Hawthorns is looking as beautiful as ever, and all the signs are that we are ready to hit the ground running ahead of these last nine matches.

Having Diangana back will be a huge boost in particular, and if he can carry over this kind of threat into a match scenario, we should have too much in the tank for most sides to lay a glove on us.
