Report details concerning update on Grady Diangana loan spell at West Brom

Grady Diangana has barely kicked a ball for West Brom since Christmas but fans have remained excited about his comeback once the Championship season returns next week.

Diangana, 22, has scored five goals and assisted six in 21 league appearances for Albion, proving himself to being one of the club’s key players in their bid for promotion this season.

However a worrying report has emerged from West Ham news site Claret & Hugh, which claims that Diangana is yet to agree a loan extension at The Hawthorns.

As it stands, Diangana’s loan deal at West Brom expires on June 30 but Albion still have seven games to play after that date.

But this report says that the England Under-21 international is yet to agree to extend that loan, which could have a big impact on Slaven Bilic’s run-in.

West Brom have coped without Diangana since his injury issues began in December.

They struggled to being with without the on-loan West Ham winger but Callum Robinson’s arrival in January helped out loads.

Robinson hit the ground running upon his loan switch to The Hawthorns and there’s still a chance Diangana will be on the bench when the season restarts because of how well the Sheffield United loanee has done.

Despite this concerning news, Diangana has still been training with the West Brom squad so it could just be a formality for the attacker to agree an extension and it’ll happen at a later date.

In other West Brom news, Albion are set to play two matches against Premier League opposition this week.
