Semi Ajayi posts Instagram message after West Brom friendlies v Man United
All the signs have been positive for West Brom after their friendlies against both Aston Villa and Manchester United.
We are finally entering a Championship match week from Monday, with the Baggies set to welcome Birmingham to the Hawthorns on Saturday.
With nine games left to play in the promotion race, West Brom currently sit six points ahead of third-placed Fulham.
Slaven Bilic’s men drew against Villa before winning and losing in their couple of matches at Old Trafford on Friday afternoon.
Semi Ajayi has posted a message on his personal Instagram account after the games, claiming that they are in great shape.
“90 mins in the tank and preparations complete for the restart,” he wrote.
“Hungrier than ever.”
In Ajayi’s post, it shows him tracking fellow Nigerian Odion Ighalo at Old Trafford, and that is exactly the sort of competition the Baggies needed to prepare for this last promotion push.
The26-year-old has been a standout performer this season since arriving from Rotherham, and he will certainly play a big role in the remainder of the campaign.
Not only has he made over three clearances per game according to WhoScored, Ajayi has also scored an impressive five goals – only four players have scored more.
