West Brom set for disappointment as report details update on Diangana future

West Brom loanee Grady Diangana is unlikely to remain at the Hawthorns past this season, according to Claret and Hugh.

The reliable West Ham source confirmed on their website that the young winger is set to return to the London Stadium once his loan spell is over.

Diangana recently extended his loan spell for the final nine games of the Championship season, starting against Birmingham on Saturday.

Claret and Hugh shared that the Baggies seem to be unwilling to spend the £20million fee needed to make his switch permanent.

It has been shared previously that Slaven Bilic is a massive fan of the 22-year-old, who has recently recovered from a hamstring injury.

Diangana has been pictured in full training ahead of the Championship restart, and an inspired end to the campaign could see the Baggies change their mind.

There is no hiding Bilic’s effection for the winger given his time at West Ham a few years back, and if a deal is there to be struck, it will be.

Diangana averages an impressive 8.14 dribbles per game according to WyScout, and he has highlighted his ability to get out of tight spaces on numerous different occasions this season.

Take this example from the 5-1 thrashing of Swansea at the Hawthorns.

Diangana was trapped by three separate defenders but managed to ease his way past all three and win a foul – handy.

£20million may seem like a lofty price for the young winger, but he has certainly proved that he has a bright future ahead of him this season.

Should the Baggies earn promotion, and West Ham get relegated, that price could certainly be open to some negotiation – anything could happen.
