Done deal: West Brom agree new terms with forward

West Brom have confirmed that Rayhaan Tulloch has put pen to paper to sign a new four-year contract at The Hawthorns.

Tulloch’s existing terms expired at the end of June and that led to a great deal of transfer speculation with clubs like Brighton, West Ham and Rangers being linked with the 19-year-old [Scottish Sun].

Aston Villa also set their sights on the teenage forward [Daily Mail] but now his immediate future lies in the Black Country with West Brom.

Albion confirmed the done deal on their official Twitter account and official website on Tuesday with technical director Luke Dowling saying: “Ray is an exciting prospect who we look forward to seeing progress now. He’s got the inspiration provided by the young players Slaven has given opportunities to.”

Tulloch is one of the most promising young talents at The Hawthorns.

He’s been handed three first-team appearances by Slaven Bilic this season but all three of those have come in the FA Cup.

If the Baggies can get promotion to the Premier League wrapped up as soon as possible then it would be nice to see Tulloch get a bit more game-time in the Championship as he needs to be playing more senior football now he’s 19.

Tulloch’s stood out in the Under-23s this season, scoring nine goals and supplying four assists in 14 Premier League 2 appearances.

We would like to see him sent out on loan next season because it’s unlikely he will get a prominent role in Bilic’s first-team plans in the top-flight if Albion get there.

In other West Brom news, an international player linked with the Baggies could be up for grabs for just £1.5milion.
