Report details how West Brom can boost chances of second Diangana deal
West Ham winger Grady Diangana is attracting attention from a host of clubs after impressing loan at West Brom this season.
According to the Herald, Rangers have joined the race to sign the 22-year-old ahead of next season with the attacker eager to secure more first-team football next season once his temporary stay at The Hawthorns ends.
Celtic are also said to be keen but Rangers have made contact with Diangana’s representatives.
West Brom are also interested in a second deal for Diangana, although the report does not say whether that’s on another loan deal or as a permanent signing.
However it is understood that the Baggies will greatly improve their chances of re-signing the England Under-21 international by winning promotion to the Premier League as he’s not keen on another season in the Championship.
Slaven Bilic’s side have automatic promotion to the Premier League in their own hands as if they win their last two matches against Huddersfield and QPR, they will secure a top-two spot.
Diangana has played a huge role in helping Albion get to this point by scoring seven goals and supplying six assists in 28 Championship appearances.
We would love to see him extend his stay in the Black Country, even if it is another loan deal.
But we understand why so many clubs are now gearing up to pursue the winger ahead of next season.
It’s up to Albion to put their case forward and prove why staying in Bilic’s squad is the best choice for him in terms of his entire career.
In other West Brom news, Albion have been tipped to sign this Man United player on a £37,500-a-week loan deal.
