Grady Diangana and Jude Bellingham are among a number of players to send messages to Nathan Ferguson after he said goodbye to West Brom on Instagram.
The 19-year-old’s contract expired at the end of June after he rejected the chance to agree fresh terms to extend his stay at The Hawthorns.
Speculation surrounding Ferguson’s future has been rife ever since he broke into the Baggies first-team under Slaven Bilic in the first half of the season.

I would like to extend my gratitude to @wba and all of the fans as I take my next step in my professional career. I wish them well for the remainder of the season. A world class coach and a group I see as family. Thank you for the memories, thank you for the challenges and thank you for the chance. Peace and Love Fergie ✌🏾💙🤍💙
The young defender almost joined Crystal Palace in January before failing a medical and it has been widely reported that a move to Selhurst Park remains on the cards.
Ferguson’s exit has left him unpopular with the majority of West Brom fans but Albion loan star Diangana and Borrusia Dortmund’s new addition Bellingham have different feelings about the youngster’s decision to leave.
Diangana said “thank you” to Ferguson before adding: “Gonna miss you too partner. Greatness in the making.
Former Birmingham starlet Bellingham simply wrote: “All the best, bro.”
Whether you think Ferguson was right to leave West Brom in the manner that he did or not, some of the messages that have been sent to the teenager by a number of supporters have been horrible.
We’re not completely sure why Ferguson is so keen to join Crystal Palace and abandon the Baggies but it is unlikely that money is going to be a massive motivator as both clubs are on pretty much the same level in terms of finances – especially if Albion’s promotion is sealed.
We wish Ferguson the best in his next move.
Of course, we would have preferred to see him stay put at The Hawthorns but this is football. Players very rarely stay at the same place very long.
In other West Brom news, fans want this rarely-seen player to start against QPR on Wednesday.
