West Brom are reportedly in a strong position to sign Huddersfield centre-forward Karlan Grant once the transfer window opens.

According to TeamTalk, the Baggies are leading the race for the 22-year-old, who has scored 18 goals in 42 Championship appearances for Huddersfield this season.

The Yorkshire Post recently claimed that the Terriers are willing to sell Grant in the summer, with one unnamed Championship club reportedly bidding £15million for him.

West Brom are one win away from promotion to the Premier League but no matter what league the Baggies are playing in next season, there’s a huge feeling that the club needs to bring in a new centre-forward.

Hal Robson-Kanu, Charlie Austin and Kenneth Zohore have failed to completely impress in the Championship so a move for Grant is something that our panel of Super Fans would welcome.

It is always a good sign for a striker when they are banging in the goals for a team that has spent most of the season worrying about relegation.

Grant has hit the back of the net against top sides in the Championship this term, including Fulham, Brentford, Nottingham Forest and, as some fans may remember, West Brom.

It might be a lot to spend £15million on him but Grant is someone who is an improvement on what Bilic has.

He’s also young and proved his class in the Premier League last season by scoring four in 13 games as Huddersfield were relegated.

If West Brom want to avoid relegation from the Premier League they need someone who can score at least 12 goals next season and Grant could be someone to do that.
