John Percy: West Brom have £12 million bid accepted for 19/20 loanee
West Brom have had a £12 million bid accepted for Grady Diangana, according to the Telegraph.
The West Ham winger spent last season on loan at The Hawthorns and played a key role in the Baggies’ promotion back to the top flight.
Since then, there has been heightened speculation over where the wide man would be playing his football next season, with the Hammers reportedly seeking around £20 million for the player.
More recently, The Sun journalist Alan Nixon suggested that a cheaper deal could be struck if the Irons were able to put up the cash immediately in one lump sum.
And it would appear that Albion have been able to do that, with John Percy of the Telegraph claiming that an agreement has been reached between the two clubs.
Please let this be true.
Signing Diangana at all this summer was a priority for just about every West Brom fan on the planet, but signing him for just £12 million would be an absolute steal.
Even taking into account some of his injury issues last season, the winger was a key player in our promotion charge, and his impact on the side was immense.
Sky Sports pundit Lee Hendrie even went as far as to suggest that Diangana was an “absolutely fabulous” talent, and on the basis of what we saw last term, who could disagree with him?
It was blatantly obvious that he is ready to make the step up to the top flight, and if that happens to be in a Baggies shirt, even better.
In other West Brom news, the Baggies have reportedly bid £17million for this attacker.
