West Brom crashed out of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening, losing on penalties to Championship side Brentford.
Slaven Bilic once again made 11 changes to his side at the Hawthorns, handing debuts to both Conor Gallagher and Branislav Ivanovic.
Kamil Grosicki was a notable absence, with the Pole yet to make an impact on the Baggies since their promotion to the Premier League.
Bilic confirmed after the match that Grosicki was suffering from a minor knock, but there was no timescale confirmed on his lay off.
Express and Star journalist Joseph Masi relayed the news on his personal Twitter account after the game, with many fans questioning Grosicki’s absence.
“For those asking about Grosicki, the boss said he missed out with a minor knock,” he wrote.
Charlie Austin was also sacrificed for the debut of Gallagher from the last round, although his future looks to be away from the Hawthorns.
Grosicki has had a shocking start to the season after promotion to the Premier League, completing zero minutes in the first two games.
The 32-year-old did feature against Harrogate but completed nothing of note to catch the eye ahead of the Everton defeat.
Despite his poor start, the winger definitely shined during international duty for Poland, scoring and assisting a goal in their 2-1 victory over Bosnia at the beginning of September.
That will be the form that Bilic will be craving to see sooner rather than later, although that won’t be happening this week with this current knock.
