‘Wow’, ‘Nightmare’ – These West Brom fans react to striker update

West Brom forward Callum Robinson is currently in isolation after close contact with an ROI player who tested positive for COVID-19 during the international break.

It means the winger-turned-striker could miss the game against Burnley on Monday and, with the club yet to sign another forward in the summer window, fans are furious and fearing the worst.

Injury expert Ben Dinnery confirmed that he is a doubt for the next Premier League game.

It seems there might be a possibility that negative tests could see him come out of isolation but that’s not clear and it just shines a light on the Baggies’ need for a new striker.

West Brom manager Slaven Bilic said he was still hopeful of signing a striker before the domestic window shuts on October 16.

But the net has shrunk now after the international transfer window shut last week.

It means that West Brom can now only sign a player from an EFL club, with Karlan Grant still the number one target.

That could still happen but time is running out and these West Brom fans are adamant a player needs to come in to save the season.

As it stands, the club has only Kenneth Zohore and Charlie Austin to turn to, with both players out of favour.
