‘Rules are rules’, ‘Please stay’ – Many WBA fans react as Grosicki drama takes another twist
West Brom winger Kamil Grosicki still hasn’t left the Hawthorns despite agreeing a move to Nottingham Forest on Friday.
John Percy of the Telegraph reported that the two clubs and the player had agreed terms over a season-long loan deal at the City Ground.
It was suggested that if Forest were promoted to the Premier League, they have the obligation to offer Grosicki a two-year deal.
That didn’t happen though.
Reports from Poland on Saturday suggested that either West Brom or Forest failed to submit the relevant paperwork to the FA by 21 seconds.
Meczyki claimed on their website that the two clubs are now set for legal action with the FA after the deadline day madness which will see lawyers involved.
It wasn’t made clear at which end the mistake was made, but the FA are said to be refusing to confirm the deal for Grosicki.
Grosicki remains a Baggies player as it stands, and it will be interesting to see if that changes in the coming days.
Many West Brom fans have reacted to this latest update with delight, claiming that they are happy to see that Grosicki will potentially be staying at the Hawthorns.
The majority claimed they were shocked when the deal was agreed, and that he should be starting against Burnley in the Premier League instead.
