West Brom attacker left out of 25-man squad for PL - confirmed

West Brom attacker Kamil Grosicki has been left out of Slaven Bilic’s 25-man squad for the Premier League season, it has been confirmed.

The Premier League released a list of every club’s squads for the 2020/21 season on Tuesday and Grosicki, 32, did not feature in West Brom’s amid speculation surrounding his future at The Hawthorns.

Nottingham Forest tried to sign the Poland international on deadline last week but the Nottingham Post has reported that the paperwork wasn’t completed in time.

It is understood that the EFL will decide in the next 48 hours whether or not Grosicki will be allowed to sign for Forest but, either way, the former Hull attacker will not play a role for West Brom in the league for the foreseeable future.

West Brom’s squad doesn’t really provide many shocks. Well. None are as big as Petr Cech being surprisingly named in Chelsea’s.

Grosicki’s omission was always on the cards amid doubts surrounding his future at the club and as he isn’t allowed to play for the Baggies between now and January, we do hope for the good of his career he’s allowed to join Forest.

West Brom’s squad list provides little in the way of shocks

Grosicki was an unused substitute against Leicester in West Brom’s Premier League opener but has since not been used at all by Bilic in the league.

We would have thought he did enough in the Championship last season to show the Albion manager that he can be useful in the top-flight but clearly, squad registration issues have meant that Grosicki may never get to play in England’s top tier again.

In other West Brom news, Kevin Phillips has made a damning claim about Karlan Grant’s move to the Black Country.
