West Brom striker Karlan Grant made his debut in the 0-0 draw against Burnley in the Premier League on Monday evening.
The Baggies forward arrived at The Hawthorns on Thursday evening and trained once before his first start for the club last night.
It was nearly the perfect debut, although his first goal for the club was ruled out by the officials for a correct offside decision.
Grant shared a post on his personal Instagram account, admitting it was a point in the right direction and that all eyes are on the trip to Brighton.
One interesting player to react was Eberechi Eze, the playmaker who decided to seal a switch to Crystal Palace rather than the Baggies.
The first response to his comment was actually an Albion fan, who claimed that he made the wrong decision this summer.
How close did Eze get?
The truth was not that close, staying in London appeared to always be his goal.
Eze claimed it was an “easy decision” to choose Palace over West Brom this summer, admitting that the idea of Palace clicked immediately for him.
The Baggies did table a bid worth over £20million for the England youth international, although it wasn’t enough.
Queens Park Rangers did eventually accept an offer from Slaven Bilic’s men, but in the end, that was as far as they got in their negotiations.
One positive to come from that failure was the permanent capture of Grady Diangana, so everyone ended up as winners in the end.
