Six games into the Premier League season and West Brom have three points on the board, unfortunately, they are from three draws as Albion are yet to register a league win.

The Baggies have had a couple of good chances to get their first league win of the season but they have been unable to take them, as Albion fans begin to wonder where their first win will come from.

Weirdly their best chance of a first win was against Chelsea, when the Baggies found themselves 3-0 up in the first half. But a second-period collapse saw the points shared. Before the game, a draw would’ve been a great result but it should’ve been a guaranteed win as soon as Albion’s third went in.

Draws against Burnley and Brighton have followed and also presented decent chances for Slaven Bilic’s side to climb up the table. But 0-0 and 1-1 draws mean that the wait continues as Albion wait for a result that drags them away from the relegation zone.

Next Monday West Brom travel to Craven Cottage to take on a Fulham side who are also yet to pick up a Premier League win and sit rooted to the bottom of the table. This game against likely relegation rivals is now a must-win, not only because of the opposition, but because of what comes after.

Albion’s following two games are a home tie against Tottenham Hotspur before a trip to Old Trafford. Without wanting to sound too pessimistic, based on this season’s performances it is very unlikely that West Brom will get anything out of these games.

If that proves to be the case it will be almost December before Albion have another chance at a Premier League win. For context, the Derby County side that got relegated with 11 points already had their first win after six games.

So for Albion is has to be Monday when they get their season properly up and running. Now they have a proper striker in Karlan Grant, who opened his Baggies account against Brighton, they have a chance of breaching a defence who have conceded 14 goals in six league games this season.

The fact that Fulham only have one point this season should give Baggies fans some confidence, but a loss against Fulham wouldn’t only prolong the wait for a Premier League win, but it could be a serious mental blow for Bilic’s squad. On Monday, West Brom have to win.

In other West Brom news, Karlan Grant has tweeted after scoring his first Baggies goal.
