Plenty of West Brom fans have reacted to the report in The Telegraph that Matheus Pereira is set to be offered a lucrative new contract at The Hawthorns.
The Brazilian attacker was outstanding for the Baggies last season, scoring eight goals and providing 16 assists in the Championship last season.
Having initially joined on loan, the club signed him on a permanent basis in the summer for a fee of around £8.25 million, but have decided to extend his deal just two months later.
The former Sporting man has also made a decent start to life in the Premier League despite Slaven Bilic’s side picking up just three points from their opening six games.
In six starts, Pereira has scored once and provided two assists, while also delivering 1.7 key passes per 90.
Following the news, there was a mixed reaction from Baggies fans on Twitter, with a number suggesting that the club could be looking to insert or remove a clause in hgis contract.
