‘People didn’t want him’, ‘So good’ – Some West Brom fans hail unsung hero in 1-1 v Brighton

Karlan Grant getting his first goal for the club might have made the headlines but plenty of West Brom fans have praised the part Filip Krovinovic played in the Baggies equalising goal against Brighton on Monday night.

Grant scored late on to secure the 1-1 draw at the AMEX Stadium, after an unfortunate Jake Livermore own goal had given the home side the lead just before half-time.

It was a much-improved second-half showing from Slaven Bilic’s side and Krovinovic was very much the architect of the equaliser, playing a crafted through ball down the right flank for the on-rushing Callum Robinson.

The Republic of Ireland international’s cross found Grant via a deflection, with the former Huddersfield Town man finishing ruthlessly into the top corner.

While a number of fans were happy to rave about the new man’s first Premier League goal for the club, others were keen to point out the contribution made by Krovinovic in progressing the ball up the pitch and generating the opportunity.

One fan pointed out that some fans didn’t even want Krovinovic back at the club and added five LOL emojis alongside his message.

Others pointed out that his contribution didn’t get the praise it deserved.

Here are some of the best tweets from fans when the club re-posted the goal on Twitter…
