‘Disgrace’, ‘Sick joke’, ‘Pathetic’ – Some WBA fans furious with latest PL announcement
Some West Brom fans have reacted after finding out that a fourth successive game has been selected for the Premier League’s pay-per-view service.
Albion’s game against Tottenham has been moved to Sunday, November 8 and will be broadcast exclusively on Sky Sports Box Office.
The fixture change was always on the cards as Spurs will play in Europe on the Thursday of that week. But the fact that a fourth successive Baggies game will cost extra to watch is what has upset some West Brom fans.
Albion’s previous two games have only been available on Sky Sports Box Office and their upcoming games against Fulham and Spurs will also only be available to people who pay an extra £14.95 on top of their regular Sky subscription.
This means fans who want to watch all of these games will have to shell out roughly £60 to watch their side while stadiums remain shut. It is quite frankly ridiculous.
Some Albion fans took to social media to show their displeasure at the Premier League’s latest move, with some calling for a boycott and others highlighting how unfair the new system is on Baggies fans.
Here is how some West Brom fans reacted to the news:
