West Brom ace to return to squad v Fulham after missing Brighton draw – Sky Sports

West Brom defender Dara O’Shea is set to return to the Baggies squad for their Premier League clash against Fulham on Monday.

Sky Sports have reported that the Irish international should be involved after recovering from an ankle injury picked up in training.

O’Shea missed the 1-1 draw with Brighton last Monday, after being involved in every matchday squad since the start of the season.

Kamil Grosicki could also return to the matchday squad after his move to Nottingham Forest collapsed, although O’Shea is much more likely to feature.

Slaven Bilic will be delighted to have the young defender back, given the latest glowing praise he showered him in.

“If you consider where he was last season at this time and where he is now, it’s like a fairytale. But he deserves it all,” he said.

“The main thing is is quality, but apart from the quality, it’s also his determination and his focus.”

Settle for the bench

Given the impressive start to the season that Darnell Furlong has had, it is all but confirmed that O’Shea will be back on the bench.

The Irish youngster can play at right-back and in the heart of the defence, something that suited the Baggies when they played five-at-the-back.

Since Bilic changed back to his more familiar four-man defence, that has seen O’Shea’s chances limited, but he will be the first rotation option off the bench.

O’Shea impressed in the first four games of the season, and thankfully this wasn’t a major set back and we will be back seeing him involved tonight.
