Sky Sports: West Brom ace in contention to feature v Tottenham after injury lay-off

West Brom defender Dara O’Shea is in contention to feature against Tottenham on Sunday, according to Sky Sports.

The Irish international has missed the past two games against both Fulham and Brighton after picking up an ankle injury.

O’Shea was expected to return against the Cottagers on Monday but missed out on the squad completely in the defeat.

Sky Sports have shared their preview on Friday, claiming that although he may feature, it may be too early for O’Shea to start the game.

After yet another game passed without three points in the Premier League this season, pressure has started to rise on Slaven Bilic.

Reports have suggested that a heavy defeat against Spurs on Sunday could spell the end of the line for the Croatian at the Hawthorns.

That added pressure could see Bilic make some changes to his side, especially after he only noted a couple of players who showed commitment against Fulham.

Darnell Furlong has cemented that spot at right-back this season but wasn’t one of those to come out with praise on Monday.

Bilic claimed Branislav Ivanovic and Conor Gallagher were the only two to impress, meaning that the other nine have their places under threat.

The Croatian has previously labelled O’Shea as “unbelievable” and it would be no surprise to see him in the starting XI against Spurs.

With such a massive test against the likes of Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son, Gareth Bale and Lucas Moura, we expect Bilic to introduce him back lightly, possibly off the bench.
