Chris Kirkland has claimed that West Brom may not be “too far away” from sacking Slaven Bilic after their start to the Premier League season.
The Baggies are still yet to win a single game this season, and the Sky Sports pundit believes that the fact he earned promotion with this side has gone out of the window.
Bilic addressed rumours over his future after the defeat against Spurs on Sunday, claiming they were “nonsense”.
Speaking to Football Fan Cast, Kirkland admitted that it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Croatian given his marching orders.
“There are managers that have been sacked after four games when they lose four on the spin. Yes, he got them up last season but that goes out of the window now,” he said.
“Listen, there’s always normally someone that goes in there around October, November time during the normal season but whether this is a normal season or not, I’m not sure.
“But I don’t think we’ll be too far away from seeing somebody face the sack soon if results go against them.”
Bilic has come out with the right attitude and has started fighting back.
That attitude has clearly flowed into his squad, as they did the exact same thing against Spurs – deserving much more.
If the Baggies continue to play like this after the international break, it won’t be long until that first win arrives, although that break appears to have come at the wrong time.
Reports claiming that Bilic could be sacked claimed he was one heavy defeat away from the sack, and things could quickly change with Manchester United up next.
