West Brom forward tests positive for COVID-19
West Brom forward Callum Robinson has tested positive for COVID-19 while on international duty with the Republic of Ireland, the Irish FA has confirmed.
Robinson, 25, was forced into a brief period of self-isolation in the last international break after coming into contact with someone who had tested positive.
But now, the Albion star has himself become a confirmed COVID-19 case and has been ruled out of Ireland’s upcoming matches against England, Wales and Bulgaria.
We hope that Robinson is well and isn’t showing any symptoms but he is now the third West Brom player to be confirmed to have contracted the virus.
Ahead of Albion’s 1-0 defeat to Tottenham at the weekend, where Robinson started, Matheus Pereira and Branislav Ivanovic were confirmed to have caught COVID-19.
Is there a bit of an outbreak happening at West Brom?

We hope that it doesn’t get any worse than this and everyone else who’s at the club right now is testing negative and every other player who’s away on international duty.
Robinson was superb for the Baggies on Sunday as they lost to Spurs.
It was his first start in the Premier League since the defeat to Southampton and he managed to really impress while playing in the attack with Karlan Grant.
But now that Robinson is due to have a two-week period in self-isolation, he’s likely to miss the clash with Manchester United after the international break is over.
On the Premier League website, it confirms that players who test positive must self-isolate for 10 days.
However, 10 days from now is the Saturday in which West Brom are set to play against Manchester United so it remains to be seen if Robinson will be allowed to play on that day or will have to wait until the Sunday to come out of quarantine.
