West Brom might have put in a much-improved performance against Tottenham ahead of the international break but the club’s owners are still thinking of sacking Slaven Bilic before the next game, according to the Mirror.
They claim that Bilic is walking a “tightrope” ahead of the game against Man United with the club’s owners considering whether to pull the trigger on his job.
It’s thought that the 1-0 defeat to Tottenham may have bought Bilic more time but next up is Man United at Old Trafford.
The Mirror claims that Bilic has insisted he won’t quit the job as his family is settled in the midlands.
Spurs game buys more time
We don’t think there’s any way that the West Brom owners will get rid of Bilic ahead of the Man United game.
It wouldn’t make any sense after the game against Spurs when it was obvious that the players and Bilic are still in the same dressing room.
However, with the pressure on him, Old Trafford isn’t the place you want to go to next.
West Brom podcaster Adrian Goldberg has claimed that 90% of Baggies fans are backing Bilic despite being in the bottom three and looking for their first win of the season.

We’re not convinced it’s that high across the board but we definitely think he’s got the support of the majority of West Brom fans.
How long will that last? You have to look at it on a match-by-match basis at the moment, unfortunately.
A narrow defeat to Man United might not do much damage but if Bilic doesn’t find a win soon, his borrowed time might be about to be recalled.
