Micah Richards claims 'minor details' are at fault for West Brom's poor season
Micah Richards believes that West Brom will be 'alright' this season if they can get a bit of luck and improve a few minor details.
The Baggies haven't had the best of luck this season with game-changing VAR calls going against them in recent weeks.
But Richards believes that Albion have quality players and that they can survive in the Premier League if they make small improvements.
Speaking on Sky Sports before Saturday's game against Newcastle, Richards said, "I think it's small differences. I know people look at the game last week when they conceded five and had a man sent off.
"Sam Johnstone is key for me, he's been absolutely brilliant. I was with him at Villa and I always knew he could play at this level and he can still go to another level as well.
"I like Sawyers in midfield, he's a good player. Pereira is a big miss and they've got good players all-round. But I think it's just belief. It's just those minor details, those few percentages and as long as they get a little bit of luck, you need that in football, they'll be alright."
Aside from last week's game against Crystal Palace, the Baggies have turned in some much-improved performances in recent weeks.
Albion certainly deserved to take something from their games against Tottenham and Manchester United and were well worth the win when they defeated Sheffield United.
West Brom also aren't too far off safety and a few wins could change the complexion of their season drastically.
Also, as Richards said, the Baggies do have quality players like Callum Robinson and Matheus Pereira.
These players can change games and, with the right opportunity, could secure vital points in important matches.
A bit of luck, which the club is long overdue, could improve the Baggies' season but Albion still need to improve generally and they need to do it soon if they are to stay alive in their relegation fight.
In other West Brom news, an international boss has claimed that a baggies man doesn't have a great chance of a call-up.
