PL powerhouse wants West Brom ace to replace £100k/wk star – report
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly earmarked West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone as a potential replacement for Hugo Lloris.
According to The Sun, there are fears at Tottenham that Lloris could move on to Paris Saint-Germain if and when Mauricio Pochettino lands the job.
With the former Spurs boss looking poised to replace Thomas Tuchel, Spurs have already begun planning for the future.
Lloris, who is said to earn a reported £100,000 per week, has been Spurs’ no.1 since joining the club back in 2012.
West Brom’s Johnstone has been touted as a potential replacement, alongside Manchester United ace Dean Henderson.

Justifiable links
It is not the news that West Brom fans will want to be reading to start their year, but Johnstone is proving with his form this season exactly why he belongs in the top flight.
As per Wyscout, no goalkeeper has made more saves in Europe’s top five leagues and that form is clearly not going unnoticed.
The worry for West Brom is that on paper, Johnstone appears to be the easier of the two targets for Spurs.
It is highly unlikely that Manchester United would entertain the idea of selling Henderson to Spurs, with the Red Devils having high hopes for their young goalkeeper.
Both United and Spurs have also endured a turbulent relationship in the Premier League era, so if they were to sell – allowing him to move to Spurs of all clubs would be a huge ask.
With potential international aspirations of his own, Johnstone will no doubt want to be playing regular top-flight football and if the Baggies are to go back down this season, a move away might be inevitable.
