Many West Brom fans say same thing about Andy Carroll after links emerge

Several West Brom supporters have expressed their anger at a potential move to sign Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll.

According to the Daily Mail, the out-of-favour Newcastle striker is on West Brom’s radar as they seek a replacement for Karlan Grant.

The latest injury blow to West Brom’s summer signing has forced the club’s hand somewhat in the transfer market.

While the Baggies were also expected to bring in another forward this month, it has suddenly become a huge priority for Allardyce, who is still in the early days of his job at the Hawthorns.

Carroll is no stranger to playing under Allardyce, having worked alongside the now Albion boss during his first spell at St James’ Park.

The striker would then go on to join up with the former England boss during their time at West Ham.

Injury and fitness concerns continue to follow Carroll and the striker only made his ninth Premier League appearance of the season as he scored against Leicester last time out.

There is no doubt that the Baggies would be taking a risk by bringing in a striker with the injury record of Carroll, having just lost their summer signing Grant for six weeks to a foot injury.

These West Brom supporters have been reacting to the transfer rumour on social media and it is fair to say the overall reaction among fans has been a negative one.
