Many West Brom fans have criticised Kieran Gibbs for his awful performance against Blackpool in the FA Cup.
The Baggies found themselves 1-0 down at half time due to Gibbs and Branislav Ivanovic switching off and this was the former Arsenal man’s only impact on the game.
He was substituted at half time with Darnell Furlong replacing the defender who had an afternoon to forget against the Seasiders
Sam Allardyce named Gibbs in a much-changed Albion starting 11 as the new boss looked to see if any of his fringe players were worthy of being given a chance in the Premier League.
If Allardyce wanted to see Gibbs’ Premier League experience against the League One side then he will have been bitterly disappointed as the 31-year-old looked like he’d never played top-flight football in his life.
When players are playing for their futures under a new manager, Gibbs looked like he wasn’t bothered about West Brom’s plight at all.
Gibbs’ poor first-half performance did his reputation among the Baggies fanbase no favours as Albion fans took to social media to berate the defender.
Many Baggies fans were furious when it was announced that Gibbs had been taken off as some assumed that he had picked up yet another injury.
One fan claimed that Gibbs must be made of glass while others said his time at The Hawthorns needs to come to an end.
