West Brom have entered the hunt to sign Celta Vigo midfielder Okay Yokuslu in the January window, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper have reported on their website that Sam Allardyce wants the 26-year-old, who can also play in defence as one of three new players to come in.
It is suggested that the La Liga club are open to letting the Turkish international leave this month, with the Albion closing in.
Allardyce is said to want three players, with it being made clear that a midfielder and striker are two of those required.
The Daily Mail have also shared that Real Betis midfielder William Carvalho is also being considered by the Baggies.
Discussions have been opened over the possible loan signing of Yokuslu though, and that makes it clear that he is the preferred target.
The Turkish international has made 11 appearances in La Liga this season, but of those have come from the bench in substitute outings.
Yokuslu appears to be the main target.
Comparing the Turkish enforcer with Carvalho via WhoScored, it appears as though they have made the right decision with their priorities this month.
The Celta Vigo man averages more tackles, interceptions, clearances and blocks per game than Carvalho – who has struggled this season.
As well as that, Yokuslu is dribbled past fewer times too, meaning that Carvalho compared would simply be a waste of resources this month.
With Romaine Sawyers struggling and Sam Field the only option on the bench, this could the perfect January signing to add more grit and competition.
