Aston Villa assistant head coach John Terry has sent an Instagram message to new West Brom man Robert Snodgrass after his performance for the Albion against Wolves.
Snodgrass made his first Premier League start for his new side on Saturday afternoon as the Albion secured a valuable 3-2 victory away at Wolves.
The Scot was influential throughout and his immediate impact on the rest of the squad was clear to see.
Snodgrass celebrated the win with a victory post on Instagram, to which Terry replied: “The Snoddy [effect]. Seen it and felt it myself. Massive signing for WBA.”
Terry worked closely with Snodgrass during his time at Aston Villa and knows the player well.
A signing that could change West Brom’s season
It is no understatement to say that Snodgrass could play an influential role in keeping West Brom in the Premier League off the back of his performance against Wolves.
From the first minute, the way he was linking up with his new team-mates made him look like a player who had been at The Hawthorns for years, not days.
He was barking orders and bossing people into positions at set-pieces, lifting those around him.
The club’s official Twitter account were quick to praise the winger after his debut, labelling it as a ‘class’ performance.
Snodgrass gave the rest of the squad a visible lift and if he can continue that good form in the coming weeks, he will give the club a real fighting chance to beat the drop.
