Kamil Grosicki enjoyed a rare start on Saturday and he certainly made the most of it as West Brom overcame rivals Wolves.
The winger was a surprise selection choice following a late injury blow to Grady Diangana, and the Poland international had a point to prove.
It was just his first league start of the season and the professionalism of his performance likely made a good impression on Sam Allardyce.
After all, he had a tricky job to do coming up against Adama Traore and Nelson Semedo, yet was able to nullify the Wolves pair for the most part.
Grosicki lasted 70 minutes too, which was impressive for a player who has missed so much action, yet in that time he only gave away possession seven times, per SofaScore.
Many supporters were quick to praise the 32-year-old following a message he sent on Twitter, in which he expressed his delight at the win while praising the efforts of his teammates.
Great teamwork and win 👏💪💥 @WBA 💙

West Brom will need that kind of spirit if they are to build on this result and move towards safety.
It remains to be seen how many more starting opportunities Grosicki will get, but if Diangana is sidelined for the foreseeable future he should get more chances to impress.
That could be a positive for large sections of the fanbase, too, as evidenced by some of the reaction below.
Great to see you playing. You put in a great shift.

One of our best players today. Professionalism at its finest. Not playing much since signing but steps in when needed and performs like that. Must have earned his place in that 11 now and proved so many doubters wrong lately 👏🏻👏🏻🔵⚪️
