West Brom have opened negotiations to sign Celta Vigo midfielder Okay Yokuslu on loan during the January window.
The agent of the Turkish international has confirmed that to Spanish outlet AS, and has shared further information on the talks.
Batur Altiparmak has shared that there are three clubs in Europe interested in his signature, although nothing has developed so far.
AS have reported that Yokuslu will be struggling to be involved in the Turkish international squad for the European Championships in the summer.
The 26-year-old has been dropped to the bench recently, falling behind Renato Tapia in the pecking order in La Liga.
Sam Allardyce is reported to want three players this month, and it is clear that two of those areas are in midfield and in the final third.
In the report by AS, they suggest that loaning Yokuslu will lower their annual wage bill – something that is described as an “essential requirement.”
Celta Vigo appear open to sanctioning this exit.
As well as that, Altiparmak appears to insinuate that none of the other clubs interested have opened talks as West Brom have.
The 26-year-old may have dropped to the bench this season, but he has still outperformed Romaine Sawyers – averaging more clearances and being dribbled past fewer times according to WhoScored.
Allardyce has admitted that the Baggies have struggled with their transfer business so far, so hopefully, this agent admission is the first step towards another signing.
