Many West Brom fans have paid tribute to defender Kyle Bartley following his excellent performance in last weekend’s Black Country Derby.
Bartley was a colossus at the back and despite his defence conceding two goals, he was arguably the best Albion player on the pitch.
He was awarded as the Baggies man of the match and the club’s official Twitter account tweeted out a picture of the 29-year-old acknowledging his work.

According to Wyscout, Bartley won 75% of his defensive duels in the 3-2 win over Wolves as well as making an incredible eight clearances.
But you didn’t need to look at the stats to see how impressive and influential the defender was as Sam Allardyce got his first win as Baggies boss.
Every time the ball was cleared or kicked into touch Bartley was there barking orders and making sure his teammates didn’t switch off in the late stages of the game.
However, one looming question is, where has that fight been all season?
Some fans were blown away by Bartley with one saying that his character is exactly what the club needs in its current predicament.
Even former Albion man Nigel Quashie was praising Bartley’s exceptional performance as he issued a one-word response.
However, one fan was critical of the defender as he was still part of a defence that conceded two goals at the weekend.
Here is how some West Brom fans reacted to West Brom’s post about Bartley.

Let’s not get too carried away, we let in two really poor goals and we won’t score three every game.
