Sam Allardyce takes his West Brom side to the London Stadium tonight (Tuesday) to face in-form West Ham United.
Albion should be full of confidence following the vital 3-2 victory in the Black Country Derby at Molineux on Saturday.
Ahead of the action, we at West Brom News have listed three things to look out for this evening from the Baggies.
- Super Semi an aerial threat
Semi Ajayi is flourishing under Allardyce. The centre half has found the net in three of his last five games, all coming from set-pieces and from his head.
The 27-year-old Nigerian has set attacking examples whilst on our travels, each of his goals have come away from the Hawthorns.
He’ll be looking to add to the tally amounted at Liverpool, Blackpool and Wolves. The next man mentioned might be able to assist.
- Relentless Robert Snodgrass
Snoddy already looks worth his weight in gold after just one appearance for the Baggies.
The Scot ran his socks off on Saturday and will be right up for tonight’s game against his former employer.
He managed ten goal involvements in seventeen Premier League starts for West Ham last season, and should be able to create problems for our hosts from set-pieces.
- A game of few goals?
Despite picking up all three points at the weekend, there’s no doubt Big Sam will be furious with leaking three goals.
Previously, his sides are notorious for being hard to break down, demonstrated by our performances at Anfield and the Etihad in December.
He’ll be keen to keep things tighter at the back. As well as this, West Ham have kept four clean sheets in a row. They haven’t been free-scoring however, winning their last three games by a goal to nil.
