Rekeem Harper is on the verge of leaving West Brom to join Birmingham City on loan for the rest of the season, according to BBC Radio WM journalist Richard Wilford.
Writing via his personal Twitter account on Wednesday, Wilford reported that Harper, 20, has already had a medical with Blues ahead of a loan move to St Andrew’s.

Harper has made just four senior appearances for the Albion this season, with only two of them coming in the Premier League when he’s come off the bench as a substitute.
Make or break for Harper
Harper’s development at West Brom has stalled significantly in the last year and a half with the midfielder struggling for game-time when Slaven Bilic was in charge and things failed to get better under Sam Allardyce’s leadership.
The Birmingham-born midfielder made just 10 Championship appearances last term but did impress in a handful of his appearances before and after the COVID-enforced break of the season.
It remains to be seen how much game-time he’ll get with Blues but Albion should not be sanctioning a loan deal like this unless Harper is going to play a lot.
Harper’s already had one failed loan spell in his career when he played at Blackburn in League One in 2017/18. During that stint at Ewood Park, he played just four times in the league.
That spell was a disaster but Harper’s come on since then and played a fair bit in the Championship for Darren Moore.
Aitor Karanka, a defensive-minded manager, might struggle to get the best out of a someone who likes to get up and down the pitch like Harper but we’ll see and we hope that the youngster is able to really improve himself in Brum.
In other West Brom news, Albion want to sign this Benfica centre-forward.
