West Brom fans have been reacting to Rekeem Harper’s impending loan move to Birmingham following a report from journalist Richard Wilford.
Harper has struggled for game time this season, playing just 211 minutes, and could join Blues until the end of the campaign.
It is unlikely the deal will include an option for Birmingham to sign him permanently, which hints that he is part of Albion’s long-term plans.
The move may help to free up some of the 20-year-old’s wages, though, giving Sam Allardyce greater room to maneuver in the transfer market.
Albion fans have expressed their views on the short-term deal, with many encouraged by the development.
Some see it as the best step for Harper to take at this point in his career, as the opportunity to play regularly should help him progress.
There has been a lot of praise for the central midfielder in reaction to the news, and a number of supporters are willing him to play well.
If he succeeds at St. Andrews he could stake a claim for a first-team place upon his return to the Baggies, so there is every incentive for him to perform at his best.
Here is some of the reaction to Harper’s potential loan move.
Excellent move for him, needs game time to improve. I actually rate him

Good move for Harper. Desperately needs games under his belt, will do him a world go good to get half a season of (hopefully) consistent starts at Blues. Good luck @Rekeemharper8 👏🏼 https://t.co/IpWvH8ZdNw
