West Brom fans keen to see Diangana play v Burnley
Grady Diangana is fit and available for Saturday’s clash against Burnley and many West Brom fans are desperate to see him start.
The winger has not featured since our 5-1 hammering at home to Arsenal due to a setback in his hamstring injury.
Since then unsubstantiated rumours surfaced which alleged that Diangana has expressed a desire not to play.
The 22-year-old could feature against the Clarets, but Sam Allardyce may decide he is best placed on the bench.
That is because Albion played brilliantly against Manchester United last time out.
In particular, the midfield trio of Conor Gallagher, Okay Yokuslu and Ainsley Maitland-Niles stood out.
Big Sam may not want to disrupt that by moving Matheus Pereira back into the middle in order to make way for Diangana.
There is a case for Pereira to be dropped, however.
The Brazilian has not contributed a goal or assist in three games and we could do with Diangana’s pace to stretch Burnley.
But after so long out the former West Ham ace is unlikely to come straight back into the starting line-up as he needs to build up his match fitness first.
Nevertheless, the prospect of his inclusion could give us a helping hand, and it has certainly excited these Albion fans.
