Jeff Stelling has backed West Brom to leave Turf Moor with a draw in their Premier League clash against Burnley on Saturday.
The Sky Sports presenter has predicted that the Baggies will make it consecutive 1-1 draws in the top-flight, despite their desperate need for wins.
Sam Allardyce wouldn’t be delighted with that, with the Albion currently 12 points from safety, and 14 points behind the Clarets.
Writing in his Super 6 predictions, Stelling has claimed that Sean Dyche will be the happier manager with a draw at Turf Moor.
“Burnley came from a goal behind to earn a point against Fulham on Wednesday,” he said.
“West Brom frustrated Manchester United with a 1-1 draw last weekend, and I think these two sides will battle out the same scoreline at the weekend.
“Burnley will be the happier of the two with the point, as Sam Allardyce’s team sit 12 points from safety.”
On paper, a point away from home in the Premier League is a good result.
The Baggies need more, with their limited wins making nearly every one of their remaining games a must-win fixture for survival.
Burnley are one of the sides hovering above the drop-zone, and three points could drag them back into the scrap ever so slightly.
The Albion were much better in that draw with Manchester United, but they need to start translating those close matches into three points.
This could be the start of a last-gasp run to survival, and there would be no better time to pick up a win than at Turf Moor this weekend.
